The formula

1 : 1 : 0.2 : 0.05 (flour : liquid : egg : baking powder, by weight)

Vary liquid identity (water, beer, sparkling water, milk) to change flavor and crust character. Beer adds CO₂ and subtle fermentation notes for a honeycomb crust; sparkling water yields the lightest, most delicate crunch; milk gives a softer, richer crust.

Troubleshooting
